Our Farm-to-Table Journey

Hi, I'm Louis-Philippe Desjardins. As many of you have noticed, I've rebranded the company. Previously, our greenhouse production operated under the name "Colourful Greens," and our kitchen products were under "Silo 6." I decided to amalgamate everything for simplicity. The domain name Louis-Philippe was already taken, so I took a chance with "Louis Philips" and created a persona. 

This season, my vision will finally come to fruition as I build a team to help me share my passion for farming, local food, and cooking. From the field to the kitchen, to the farmers' market, and even through brand new media content, I will take you on a journey to explore the best our region has to offer when it comes to local food.

I have been gardening vegetables since I was a kid, and I bought my first farm in Hanmer, Ontario, in 2012. I've been hard at work ever since. Five years ago, I undertook the construction of what would become an amazing hydroponic greenhouse production facility. I've learned many things since then and am still perfecting the system, but I think this year I can finally say, "I got it!"

I am very excited to relaunch our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in two cohorts, one for spring and one for summer. I hope you will join my family and me in this new journey.
